Asia scores 17 Design awards at LIA, with 4 Golds

Asia has delivered a strong showing in the Design category at the LIA, taking home 17 Statues, including four Golds, alongside eight Silvers and five Bronzes.

 

The Gold-winning work went to Dentsu Tokyo’s ‘Brand Design’ for Masahiro Maruyama, Dentsu Tokyo’s ‘Create a Beautiful Future’ for the ADC 105th Annual Awards, HAKUHODO Gravity Tokyo’s ‘CRAFTMAN.SHIPS’ for SHIPS, and The Nine Shanghai’s ‘Fascinating’ for Shenzhen Tourism Bureau, China.

22feet Mumbai was awarded three Silver Statues, all for Godawan Single Malt Whiskey’s ‘The Art of Survival’.

The remaining Silver winners were TBWA\HAKUHODO Inc., Tokyo’s ‘Cheer Signs’, Dentsu Inc., Tokyo’s ‘dear difference’, HAKUHODO Gravity Inc., Tokyo’s ‘CRAFTMAN.SHIPS’, Our LEGO Agency Shanghai’s ‘Build to Move’, and VML India’s ‘The Kolhapuri’.

The Bronze winners were TBWA\Singapore’s ‘The Gallery of Hidden Salt’, Ogilvy Mumbai’s ‘The Yellow Taxi Project’, VML & Ogilvy Japan, Tokyo’s ‘Your Skin is Your Armor’, Droga5 Tokyo, part of Accenture Song, Tokyo’s ‘HOPE WEAR’, and Our LEGO Agency Shanghai’s ‘Build to Move’.

Led by Yoshihiro Yagi, Executive Creative Director/Growth Officer of dentsu Japan, the jury awarded a Grand LIA, 12 Gold, 16 Silver and 16 Bronze Statues, alongside 13 Finalists.

The Design Grand LIA went to BETC, Paris and AKQA for “Unsponsored,” crafted for Levi Strauss & Company. This piece of work was also awarded a Gold and a Bronze in Design.

Package Design celebrates innovative, exceptionally crafted and beautifully executed packaging from around the world. The jury awarded a Grand LIA, two Gold, four Silver and two Bronze Statues, plus three Finalists.

Studio Sonda captured the Grand LIA for “Label created by the wine itself – Piquentum Brut Nature” created for Piquentum. This packaging was also awarded a Gold in Beverages.
