Gerri Hamill’s LIA Diary #1: Neon signs, new faces and a first day on the Health & Wellness jury

Gerri Hamill, Head of Production, WPP@Unilever / Director of Integrated Production, VML Singapore, is representing Singapore on the Health & Wellness and Pharma Craft jury at LIA in Vegas. Here, Gerri, along with a number of other jurors from APAC, reports exclusively for CB.

I’ve been up since 5am. It’s my first time being invited as a jury member to the prestigious LIA, together with diverse industry leaders across a number of categories.

Believe me, it’s exciting. Nevertheless, they’ll get the best I’ve got.

It rained a little earlier. That passed through. Then the sun awoke, and hung around to see what was going on.

I attended the Jury and Creative LIAisons Networking Party at the Neon Sign Museum, all aglow with Las Vegas neon signs of years gone by. That’s worth a second visit.

I met some very interesting creative professionals. That was cool. The vibe here is as you would expect… amazing!

I’m excited to be part of the Health & Wellness and Pharma Craft jury, led by our Jury President, Susan Perlbachs. It’s a fantastic team of 10 jurors, viewing a wealth of amazing work, with a strong spirit of partnership and collaboration.

The LIA team has presented a spectacular gathering of the finest creative minds globally, and has also invited the Creative LIAisons attendees to participate in a variety of seminars.

The days ahead will be action-packed and I’m looking forward to it.
