McCann Worldgroup dominates India Creative Rankings and takes out 2018 India Creative Agency of the Year award: The hottest creatives in India are Prateek Bhardwaj, Soumya Shiva Nagabhushan, Vaibhava Bhatnagar + Urvashi Das
2018 has proven to be a sensational year of creative performances for McCann Worldgroup India. This year’s dominant performance at award shows sees McCann Worldgroup India sitting clearly on top of the Campaign Brief Asia India Creative Rankings and are worth winners of the Campaign Brief Asia’s 2018 India Creative Agency of the Year award.
In these rankings McCann moved back up to #1 position, after being unseated last year by BBDO India. Over the 2018 awards season McCann managed to win awards at every show counted in the Campaign Brief Asia Rankings, except AWARD and AdStars, which they did not enter.
McCann’s best performances were at AdFest (405pts), One Show (420pts) and Clio (360pts). They also performed well at D&AD (230pts), New York Festivals (230pts), Campaign Brief’s The Work (180pts), Cannes Lions (170pts), Spikes Asia (190pts) and London International Awards (15pts).
In total McCann picked up an amazing total of 2,200 Creative Ranking Points at award shows over the past 12 months. Only Japanese powerhouse Dentsu Inc Tokyo picked up more Creative Ranking Points over the same period. (Pictured above is McCann Worldgroup India’s CEO & CCO Prasoon Joshi).

BBDO India enjoyed a good year at award shows in 2016 and 2017 and this saw them take out #1 position in last year’s Campaign Brief Asia India Creative Rankings.
At the 2018 award shows they had less success with AdFest (115pts) being the highlight for them. They also accumulated wins at Spikes Asia (70pts), Campaign Brief’s The Work (60pts) and Cannes Lions (40pts). Overall they have 1030 Creative Ranking Points.
Ogilvy India is ranked #3 – the position they have occupied over the past three Campaign Brief Asia India Creative Rankings.
The agency has a total of 770 Creative Rankings Points overall and in 2018 won at Campaign Brief’s The Work (225pts), Cannes Lions (100pts), and Spikes Asia (50pts).

FCB Mumbai is the big improver in the India Creative Rankings, moving up to #5 after being unplaced with no award wins in the 2017 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings.
FCB’s 365 Creative Rankings points all come from the past 12 months – with good performances at Cannes Lions (240pts), D&AD (100pts) and New York Festivals (25pts).
Leo Burnett Mumbai drops one place to the #6 most awarded in the Indian market with 330 points, just ahead of McCann Health New Delhi at #7 with 320 points.
Rounding out the Top 10 in India is #8 Cheil Worldwide (200pts), Grey Group Mumbai (130pts) at #9 and J Walter Thompson Bangalore with 120pts at #10.
After such a dominant creative performance, it’s no surprise that four McCann Worldgroup creatives fill the top four places in this year’s India’s Hottest Creatives table.
The #1 most awarded creative in India in these Campaign Brief Asia India Creative Rankings with an extremely high total of 2,275 Creative Ranking Points is Prateek Bhardwaj, joint National Creative Director at McCann Worldgroup India. In the 2017 Creative Rankings Bhardwaj was ranked #20.
