Asia scores 43 Gold awards at Spikes Asia with Ogilvy Thailand, Cheil Worldwide Korea and Leo Burnett India the top performers
Spikes Asia has released the 2023 Gold, Silver and Bronze winners, with Asia collecting a total of 43 Gold awards. The Grand Prix and Special Award winners will be announced at 12 pm SGT on Thursday 9 March 2023.
Cheil Worldwide Korea’s “Knock Knock” campaign for the Korean National Police Agency was awarded 5 Golds.
VMLY&R India’s award winning “The Killer Pack” picked up 3 Gold awards
Apple’s “The Comeback” film via TBWA\Media Arts Lab Shanghai also picked up 3 Golds.
Leo Burnett India scored 5 Golds including 3 for Whisper’s “The Missing Chapter”.
Ogilvy Thailand performed well, scoring Golds for their “Love Your Gut”, “Amazing Thailand. Culture to Commerce”, Ikano “Kitchen”, “Restroom” and “Living Room” print campaign and their Monde Nissin Thailand Co., LTD campaign for Voiz titled “The Eyes”, “Left and Right”, “The Battle”.

I can’t believe that Spikes looks like it is not doing a festival this year? What happened? I used to love the Campaign Brief Club Street party and the leo burnett after party. Is there even an award show?

So CurrenShe campaign is copied. What about the print and posters category? Which one is seen by people and paid by client (and media got bought)? Please someone see the print and publishing category for 5 mins.
Isn’t it a high time for award shows and agency to self reflect where huge money transactions are happening and we are celebrating scam and copied ads. The whole award shows process is flawed, the selection and responsibilities of juries is flawed. No accountability on any wing including agencies.
Is there no way to eliminate copied and scam ads?
Or shows will keep sending the wrong message to the younger generation every year.
