Cheil Worldwide wins 8 Pencils at The One Show

Cheil Worldwide won two Gold, four Silver, two Bronze Pencils, and six Merit Awards at The One Show 2023. The winners of The One Show were celebrated at the live ceremony held on May 19th in New York City.

Among the works by Cheil Worldwide, ‘Quest for Dyslexia’ won the most trophies including a Gold, a Silver, and a Bronze in Gaming. ‘Quest for Dyslexia’ redesigned gaming quests of a popular game to detect the signs of dyslexia among children. By using more than 100 commonly-mistaken Chinese characters to track the players’ actions, the game helped identify gamers who consistently misread the quests as potentially having dyslexia, and notified theirs parents to seek further diagnosis. The work also won a Silver in Interactive, Online & Mobile, and a Bronze in Direct Marketing.

A Gold and a Silver Pencil in Public Relations went to ‘No More Red’ by Iris, part of Cheil Worldwide network. In order to tackle youth knife crime in London, the campaign involved awarding one-off, all-white shirts worn by Arsenal F.C. players to ten charities, giving recipients access to paid projects, mentors, and support from adidas and Arsenal.

‘Knock Knock’ by Cheil Worldwide Seoul won a Silver in Interactive, Online & Mobile. The Silent Emergency Call solution enables people to request police assistance even when they cannot speak by simply dialing 112 and pressing any number twice. The police call handler will notice the signal and send a link that will immediately allow the police to track the caller’s location, identify the scene, and communicate in secret chat mode.
