Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings 2023: GIGIL ranks #1 in The Philippines with Leo Burnett, BBDO Guerrero + Propel making up the top 4
GIGIL Philippines has been named Campaign Brief’s Philippines Agency of the Year following their #1 ranking in the 2023 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings. It is the first time GIGIL has topped the Philippines most awarded agency chart. GIGIL’s 1245 points ranks them ahead of Leo Burnett Manila at #2, BBDO Guerrero Philippines at #3, Propel Manila at #4 and TBWA\SMP Manila at #5.
GIGIL were excellent performers in Campaign Brief”s THE WORK 2023 and 2022, placing 2nd and 3rd overall in Asia. They also won metal at LIA 22 (3 Silver and 1 Bronze), Cannes 22, Clio 22, MAD Stars 22 and AdFest 23. The agency has been consistent creative performers in these Campaign Brief Asia Philippines Creative Rankings and has risen from 2nd and 5th ranking in the previous two editions.
Watch out for Leo Burnett Manila next year. At #2 ranking with 790 points, Leo Burnett Manila has been a strong performer in 2023 due to the success of their highly awarded McDonald’s “The Unbranded Menu” campaign. The campaign won awards at AdFest, Spikes Asia, Clio, Campaign Brief’s THE WORK and New York Festivals. Their strongest creative performance of the year was at New York Festivals where they won 3 Golds and 2 Bronzes.
Ranking at #3 is BBDO Guerrero Philippines with a total of 635 creative ranking points. BBDO Guerrero picked up awards across a range of award shows including; AdFest 23, Clio 23, Spikes Asia 22, AWARD Awards 22, D&AD 22, New York Festivals 22 and in both years of Campaign Brief’s THE WORK.
Propel Manila has propelled up from #8 in 2021 to #4 this year with a total of 525 points. The agency scored points at Spikes Asia 22, MAD Stars 22 and Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 23 + 22.
Leo Burnett, BBDO Guerrero and Propel all made significant moves up the Philippines Creative Rankings table this year.
TBWA\SMP Manila picked up 380 creative ranking points to rank at #5 in The Philippines. TBWA\SMP scored awards at AdFest 23, LIA 22, Spikes Asia 22 and in Campaign Brrief’s THE WORK 22 and 23.
In equal #6 position are Dentsu Creative Philippines and Wunderman Thompson Philippines with 240 points each.
